Abstract

Laminar flow cabinets (LFC) and biological safety cabinets (BSC) are fundamental elements in biology laboratories in general and are basic equipment in assisted human reproduction laboratories.

To understand its operation, we must know some basic concepts such as the classification of biological agents, biosafety levels, and HEPA filters.

This will allow us to differentiate between the different types available and the use to which each of them is intended.
